My 10 week old had to go into hospital last night for RSV and they weighed him.
He’s dropped from 5.45kg to 5.26kg since week 6. They didn’t really acknowledge that because that wasn’t top priority and I’m wondering if I should be worried? That’s gone from be in the 63rd percentile to the 17th percentile. I was told he needed to be eating 150ml for every KG which is about 780ml per day.
He dropped his night feed at about week 7 but is still drinking over that amount (usually between 800-900ml per day). Should I be waking him up to have a feed in the middle of the night again? Should I be worried??
He’s fed expressed milk if that helps.

I hope hour LO feels better soon. Was he originally over his birth weight? You have to keep waking for feeds until they reach over birth weight x

My son was 6 months when he had RSV so older but he also dropped weight while sick since he wasn’t eating much. He should bounce back when he is feeling better. As long as he having around 8 wet diapers a day at that age he is okay! That’s how you can ensure he isn’t dehydrated
yes he’s over his birth weight! X
that’s good to know thank you! He’s still having wet and dirty nappies as he usually would but will keep an eye on it!
