Whingy baby
My son is just over 6 months and sooo whiney the last few days. He has been very clingy for me but today is just somethinf else.
He is napping ok, and eating ok. Given teething stuff. Mixed up the play but he just grumbling. Not crying just whiney.
Any ideas what to do to help? X

I’m in the exact same boat! Normally a very independent baby won’t let me put him down without a constant whine and super grumpy all day :( If he seems in pain I give him calpol as he’s currently teething. Otherwise I try to distract him as much as possible - (sit him so he can see out the window, we bought a small bubble machine which he loves, washing machine on a spin cycle works wonders!) and it stops the whinge just enough for me to regroup 😂

I'm not sure if he is in pain? Hard to tell. He is 100% out of sorts
We’ve got this too, I’ve got an app called the wonder weeks which tells you all about their developmental leaps. It’s scarily accurate for my little one, so I’m putting it down to a leap and the 3 c’s - crying, crankiness and clinginess
In the same boat with very whingy just over 6 month old.. does it sat what leap this is / anymore info? the whinge is so constant!

6.5 month old has been really unsettled today and cried anytime I put her down if I needed the toilet etc. Does it say how to stop them being anxious? I suffer with anxiety myself and am so conscious that I don’t want to pass anything on to her!
I did download that. I have found we are also a bit earlier so maybe the red bit after leap 5. But that says it won't start for us until 28th. How accurate have you found the timings?
I guess there is a lot going on, teething. Growth spurt. Leaps. He is learning at a million miles a minute. Xx

Just logged in to peanut purely to find out if anyone else has an unusually whingy baby. She's usually so happy and fun but this past week has been really tough. We're just over 6 months too so hoping it will pass soon!!
