I feel like the worse mom

My son recently had his check up and his blood work came back that he has iron deficiency and is anemic. He will not take his iron supplements, I’ve tried mixing it with his food / drinks but he always seem to taste it and spit it out. Any tips on how to give it to him or what can help ?

I have the same issues… I started giving my son a Flinstone gummy and cut back on milk and it helped. He’s two though.

They have iron drops

Have you tried NovaFerrum pediatric iron drops? It’s what my pediatrician recommended and my VERY picky son loves them. They basically taste like candy, and he begs to take his vitamins every day, which was definitely not the case with any other brand we tried

Try more iron rich foods or continue with formula. I kept giving my daughter formula instead of the whole milk

We also started cooking everything on cast iron, and I add hemp seed as a topping to pretty much everything. Every little bit helps!

My son does the chewable tablets for iron he takes them with his regular gummy vitamins…he couldn’t stand the liquid form.

@Nike same! What's the chewable iron brand i can't find that?!

Honestly we got it prescribed at the doctors… they are a small size purple color tablet
