Poopy Puppy
My second dog, Buddy... he is a small (mut) i believe he is part terrier. He was supposed to be a chihuahua... he is not. Lol well... he likes to eat poop. And it makes his long coat so smelly. He literally goes out on walks like its an adventure in poop finding. 🤷🏽♀️ Idk what to do. He gets snacks and good dog food. I even make my own. My first , Lucky, is quite the snob and only drinks bottle water and sleeps with a blanky. This one is WILD hahaha HELP!

no he eats everyones poop. And ive heard some puppies just like it... He is only 8 months old, but it really makes him smell bad. We are working on training he is very stubborn and very independent! Like if u want him to do this he defiantly does that. Lol
i will try the Forbid anything at this point
@Ciera in addition to this, lemons! Something in lemons makes them not like them or st least that's what a tech friend mentioned to me lol.
I saw this a lot with doggy daycare work we would put hot sauce in it they also make a spray that they hate the taste of
I have heard idk if true that dogs that eat poop are because they are missing some nutrients and can be supplemented by vitamins. Not sure what kind though. I would recommend discussing this with your vet. What a little cutie though.

@Nidia yes this can also be true. Usually it's a learned behavior from a young age. Or at least that's what I have always seen and have herd from other owners of poop eaters. Now it couldn't hurt to try a broad spectrum vitamine and mineral, and maybe some probiotics since it can and probably will upset his stomach at some point. For probiotics I love proviable or probios.
