I think it starts from when they’re 9 months old, but there is a childcare calculator that details what help you can/can’t get x

Following as in the same boat!!

@Amy also wondering if they get 30 Hours the month after their term from 9 months or 15. Do you know?

I asked our nursery this. The government roll out free hours for 9 months plus start from September. You get the free hours the term after little one turns 9 months x

@Grace thank you. But can you use the hours and the tax free childcare? Do you know?

Yes you can use the tax free in addition to the hours. The roll out is phased, 9 month old can get 15 hours from September 2024 and 30 from September 2025 x

I currently use the 2 year old 15 free hours and tax free childcare so I guess when I send my other son when he turns 9 months I can do the same then??

I think it is 15 from Sept 2024 and then 30 from Sept 2025

@Amy I think correct but it’s the term after 9 Months so depends when your second was born

Yes so they have to turn 9 months before the start of the school term. So my son was born in February so won’t get the 9 months 15 hours until January I think 🤷‍♀️

@Amy yes I think you’re right x
