baby spoon reccomendations

My baby has this one spoon that came with a weaning set but I always notice that no matter how many times you rinse it, it really holds the smell and taste of fairy liquid. Sometimes i’ll make food and i’ll try it off her spoon when she doesn’t like it and all I can taste is soap so I think that’s probably why she’s not wanting it. This morning I was giving her weetabix and she ate the first few mouthfuls then starts turning her head away, I smelt the spoon and it smelt strong of soap. So I tried using a normal metal teaspoon (really gently gave it to her) and she had no problem and ate the whole bowl. So, any recommendations for spoons that don’t hold the smell of soap please! Probably a weird request but we’ll see if anyone else has found the same😅

Honestly silicone does that I noticed my kid wouldn’t eat from Silicone I use the munchkin brand she loves it

@Carla Medrano Thank you! Is this still silicone or different material? All the stainless steel cutlery I see are 1 yr+, my babies 9 months!

My baby girl loooooooves these spoons. They’re very comfortable to hold and grasp, very soft on the edges. She has learned to feed herself using this spoon as early as 4 months https://a.co/d/7hyNbFo

I use tea spoons

Tea spoons are fine and rounded metal kids cutlery is also fine. Babies aren't made of glass ❤️

We use the doddl toddler cutlery and they also do a baby version, really good for them learning to hold and feed themselves over time too xx

I’d second the doddle cutlery too ☺️

Another vote for doddl!

@Lauren they’re plastic ☺️
