Crochet dummy clips

Would anyone consider buying a hand crocheted dunny clip and what would you price it at? I'm just curious about what the interest would be in something like this and where to sell them. TIA x

It’s beautiful but I’d worry about the wool getting soaked with spit

@Theresa same

I don’t intend to give my son a dummy, but I think these are fabulous. I think they’d sell well for those bambino’s with dummies. I would say, Etsy, vinted…sites like that.

Like @Gabrielle suggested, Vinted, Etsy, Amazon, instagram, Facebook marketplace would definitely be the place to sell these

We have never used dummies, but these are beautiful and maybe they’d work as a teething clip/holder too? Which would widen your audience. Matchstick monkey sell silicone straps that clip onto baby clothing, I’d have loved something like this instead. Etsy is probably your best bet although I have seen handmade things on eBay and Vinted too, Etsy is usually my go-to for handmade & small businesses. As for cost, I would tot up the cost of your materials, take into account the time and effort into you put into making them and maybe look at other similar products on Etsy to give you a price benchmark too x

Thank you all so much, @Rachael that's such a good idea, having them be more than just 'Dummy clips' @Theresa that is a really good point, once I have a little bit more experience and money I was looking into making silicone beaned ones as an option. I was also thinking of doing matching sets, like dummy clip and key chain x

These are so pretty!! I wouldn’t personally use them because my boys always got soaked with dribble, but I’m sure they’d be great for babies that don’t suck everything😂 Just make sure to do some research into what safety standards and testing they need to comply with before you sell, the regulations for baby items can be strict x

Beautiful 😍 my only reason for not buying would be the drooling also baby pulling at it would stretch it out. Definitely get selling them though what isn't for one is always for another it's very pretty 💓 x

Lovely but it would get filthy. Also dummy clips need to be safety tested to sell

I think they are lovely but would get soggy very quickly with my little one when teething. Etsy would be your best bet but I think they would need to be safety tested (or I would strongly recommend it) and you would probably need insurance to sell them. If they came unraveled you would be liable for anything that happened

https://www.cemarking-handmadetoys.co.uk/dummy-soother-clips-safety-overview/ dummy clips require safety testing as an FYI before you sell. There are usually really helpful Facebook groups of people who have experienced doing this testing. Really cute though

@Amy thank you, I have been looking into getting proper safety checks for them before selling to anyone x

That's cute

It's lovely but avoid selling on vinted as its against their T&Cs. If you do decide to sell whether crochet or silcone beads, make sure you put your safety test certificate details in your descriptions as they are more likely to sell than those who don't. X
