Low Papp-a

Hey! Has anybody got experience with low Papp-a? I just had these news today, and although I was told it’s nothing to worry about, I wanted to see if anybody else had that? Any thoughts or tips very welcome.

Did they tell you to go on baby aspirin? When you do it will level out your levels to normal

Yes they did. Cool. Thanks!

Yes I had it with my first. I found this Facebook group pretty helpful. Low papp-a pregnancy support group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/129843767631323/?ref=share

@Charlotte hey! Mine’s 0.41 and was advised aspirin. Just trying to understand what it means!

@Charlotte I believe, from reading a bit into it, some trusts choose not to advise on aspirin. But yes 100% agreed, should stop googling stuff like a lunatic as it’s defo not helping! I had a look at the Facebook group above and that was a nice little insight with lots of positive messages.

I had a friend who had this, they ended up having the baby 3 months early via c-section, and the baby stayed in a London hospital for 6 months even though the mother lived in Essex. The baby was sent home on oxygen for a few months but is off that and doing well, he was slow to walk, sit etc but doing really well now, will be 3 in a couple of months!
