Travelling abroad with cmpa

Hey we are traveling with easyjet in about 5 weeks time and im starting to stress about the milk situation 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 My little one will only just be 6 months old so will still be having a fair amount of milk and is on sma alfamino. Has anyone flown with easyjet who can give me some advice please ☺️ I rang a few weeks ago to find out about extra luggage and the lady didnt understand what i was asking she was just telling me the weights they offer. Does anyone know what i should be asking for in terms of getting extra luggage allowance for free for milk/food? Also with the aiport what do i do about hand luggage? Easyjet says i can have 1 litre of liquid for baby formula but i usually make the bottles up with a flask of boiling water, add some to a bottle, add formula then a flask of cold water and add some to the bottle so the flasks will contain more than 1 litre total. Is there another way i can make up this formula? Sorry for all the questions its my first time abroad with a baby and i want to try and make it as stress free as possible 🤞🏻 Thank you 🥰

Not sure if this is any help but I work in an airport and we allow over 100ml liquids through if it’s for babies under 3. Bringing a flask of already boiled water is also allowed however if you want to save the hassle and speed up the security process keep the flasks empty and get some boiled water in the cafe/restaurant after security??

Hey Emma, I rang EasyJet as I have the same problem and was getting myself worked up. You can have a additional 10-15kg of hand luggage for all babies food/milk FREE as they class CMPA as a medical condition. (I believe the dimensions of the bag allowed is the same as a large cabin bag 56 x 45 x 25 cm) you will just need to provide a doctors note for proof of condition (my doctors charge £28 for this). You will just need to give EasyJet a ring to add this on to your booking. Following as I’m in the same position!! The only thing I can recommend is the nuby rapid cool? So using the nuby to cool the water not the actual milk so you don’t have to wash between uses?

@Parris i filled my hot and cold flask up yesterday but measured the volume before i put it in and they are both under 500ml so i think im going ti just take my flasks as normal and hope for the best 🤣 worst case if they arent happy ill tip the boiling water away and ask for a cafe/restaurant to fill it the other side for me. Hopefully someone would x

I’m sure it’ll be fine because the limit is per person anyway isn’t it?! Do let us know how you get on!!
