Welcome! I created this group for first time moms ~38-40+ years old in SF and Marin to help create community in our age group and area. I know there are a lot of us out there and was surprised that a group similar to this didn’t already exist. I plan to help organizing meet ups for expecting moms, play dates for littles, and of course have this space as a virtual connection for us. When you join, feel free to introduce yourself, where you live, kid(s) age or when you’re expecting, and your story if you’d like ❤️❤️

Hi Katie! I'm Erika, 40, with a 9mo kiddo in SF (SOMA/Civic Center). Been in SF/CA for just over 2 years.

Thank you for the intro ! Welcome :)

Now that someone else has introduced themselves first, I’ll go. Hi mamas 👋🏼 I live in the inner Richmond in SF near presidio. I turned 40 in March and am expecting my first baby, due in a week! I’ve wanted to be a mama since I was in my late 20s, but took me awhile to find my partner. I’m so excited for my mom era. My husband and I tried to conceive for -5 months and then turned to IVF as I had frozen eggs when I was mid-30s. We’d like two children so we didn’t want time to keep passing. We were lucky that our first embryo took and can’t wait to meet our baby boy soon 🩵

Just stumbled across this group, thanks for organizing! I'm 42 and a FTM of a now 15 month old boy (where does time go!). We live in Mission Bay. My husband and I originally came to SF from the Midwest (MN area) about 10 years ago, but now definitely feel like we are entering a whole new era of parenthood in the city. Most of our friends in SF don't have kids, and we would love to find a community of people our age with young children.

Hi Ania! If we're feeling adventurous on the weekends, we sometimes take a walk from the ferry building to Spark Social. It would be a great area for a meetup!

Hi ladies! I’m 39 and live with my 13 month old daughter and husband in the Central Richmond. I used to work in tech but I’ve been a SAHM for a little over 6 months. Katie, thanks for starting this group and I hope your postpartum is going as well as possible. Let me know if you want to meet in the Richmond sometime!

Hi Ania,
Congratulations on your son!!
I work in the wellbeing field specifically fertility did my thesis work🩷 As a French Expat, I helped so many women in 3 countries achieve their chosen families - I believe we should all have something we can’t go a day without wanting🙌🩷 thanks for starting this thread. It’s a miracle I saw someone sent it to me. They said sounds like you so happy to help and we moved to the Richmond recently with our family.
