It’s a supply and demand thing so as u pump u make more so don’t pump as much and it will be less demand resulting in less milk

I am over producing too ! I got 4 oz on each this morning after 6 mins ! I only pump 1-2 times a day and breastfeed on demand all day

I only try to pump for 10 mins max each pump I also feed one boob each feeding I just go back and forth

Up to you. There's benefits to freezing milk. You can put some in their bath water. You could keep a load for when they are a toddler and put it on their cereal. You can donate to hospital.

Or if you want less reduce the number of minutes you pump so demand is less

If you plan to go back to work while breastfeeding, it’s so so nice having a freezer stash. When I had to start pumping exclusively while working, my supply tanked!

does your baby still get enough of the fatty milk when your over supplying ?

Avatar

For sure and honestly I’d say you’re producing a totally normal amount for how much you’re pumping!

Avatar

is it normal she only drinks 10 mins every feed since I have more milk then what she needs in my breasts

Avatar

i don’t empty when I pump so I make more then what I pump out rn

Your body is still figuring out what she needs! If you don’t pump, your supply will decrease, if you pump more, your supply goes up! Kinda just depends on what you’re aiming for. At least for me, the first few weeks I felt like a milk machine and my boobs were always full 😅

when did you start pumping?

Avatar

My supply was similar then completely tanked when my period came back, I wished I'd pumped and saved more in the early days. You can pump before you nurse to relieve a little engorgement and make nursing easier.

No pump until you’re empty.

I could pump for over 30 mins and not fully empty ! Plus I wanna fix my over supply a bit not make more

Lucky you , my baby is 1 month and I don’t produce much. I feel so frustrated.
