Rash Help

I’m worried about a rash my 3mo old has…I’ve tried all the home remedies (Monistat, Aquafore, rash cream, breast milk) but it’s getting worse. I have a peds app in the morning but does anyone know what this could be or have any advice?

Looks like eczema or heat rash a little bit. Is it dry to touch?

Perhaps an oatmeal bath before bed? Not sure what kind of rash that is, but the oatmeal can at least soothe for a bit.

yes, and I’ve been making sure to keep it cool!

I’ll do that! Thank you I hadn’t thought of it

you can try E45, we have simmilar rash on our boy, peds said it was eczema (not saying that this is the same thing, as it needs a doc to look at) he prescribed some double base cream (you can get from chemist without prescription) and dermol soap substitute. If its eczema then it could be from many reasons, like soaps, scents in washing liquid, food allergies etc. Keep the area clean and dry, don't use any soaps or scented lotions on it. Sometimes some dribble can irritate skin aswell, might be that but better to speak to peds. 😊

this makes me feel a lot better! I was freaking out on WebMD about meningitis 😅 Thank you so much

It could very well be a heat, rash or eczema, but I would still go and get him checked. If he is having other symptoms, it could be a sign of the flu or RSV. But that is only with other symptoms. A rash can’t determine that by itself. But that’s why I would just get him checked out to be safe.

If eczema is what the pediatrician determines and OTC remedies are their recommendation, Aveeno makes a nice thick overnight balm for these “hot spot” areas. For my daughter she would get rashy on her neck and bottom and it was the only thing that worked😅 also, diaper rash cream called “pink salve” i have never found something that works better or faster for a diaper rash. Nothing ever seemed to work for her/just made it worse until i found that stuff at walmart and have never used anything else since. Its also good for general burn treatment XD
