pediatrician & well visits!!!
so i’m due to have baby in a few weeks & im having a home birth. we haven’t picked out a pediatrician yet bc i have no clue where to start. also when is baby supposed to go for the first visit??? ftm here & lost someone pls give some insight 😅

If your having a home birth they recommend the 24-48 hours after birth to see pediatrician. You should visit a website if you’re more on the holistic side of thing - www.drgreenmom.com
It can show you pediatrician in your area and give you some insight on vaccines etc.
So in Summerville I go to southern med pediatrics which are good, and they have offices in orangeburg and Columbia if you're ever on the move you can just schedule at a different location ! The only thing is when I declined the vaccines to do more research to ultimately decide they pushed and pushed until they realized I wasn't giving in.
We use Dr Lemon at MUSC Children’s and love him! I have never done a home birth but for a hospital birth it’s the day after you go home.
