Is 4oz too much ?

my LO is 5 weeks and he’s been drinking 3 oz since our second day home from the hospital. if he still acts hungry after, I will offer him another ounce. sometimes he finishes it but sometimes he doesn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ at this stage I’m not going to deny him food because I know he’s growing so much

^ P.S. my little one is exclusively BF, by bottle but always breastmilk. it’s a little different for formula fed

My son is 3 weeks almost 4 weeks and drinking anywhere from 3.5-4.5oz. If he’s eating it and not having any issues keep doing what you’re doing mamma!

My girl is 3 weeks and formula fed and we're trying to work our way up to 3 oz consistently but our girl is very small

Mine is 2 weeks and has been eating 3oz consistently for about a week. She’s now starting to do 3.5-4oz sometimes

My girl is on breast milk and we give her some rice cereal in her milk she’s a month old (her pediatrician gave us the go ahead always talk to your pediatrician before you do anything) to keep her full bc she was still showing cues after she ate 4 oz

my boy is 2 weeks old and has 4 oz every 3 hours bc he wasn’t gaining weight (he was 11 lbs at birth and cant get back up to 11) - we were giving him 3 but he would be fussy after feedings like he was the full so i think its fine to give 4 if that’s what your baby is wanting but if unsure can always ask the pediatrician to be sure

I thought I was the only one! My girl will be 3 weeks on Wednesday and has been eating anywhere from 3-4 oz. I thought I was feeding her too much. But we had IUGR so I knew she’d grow a lot better outside!

My baby girl is not even a week old and drinks 2oz roughly and also has a huge appetite (and she’s a late term premie)

My baby is a week old and already drinking 3-4oz bottles every 2-4hours, she’ll be two weeks this upcoming Sunday.

She was 8lbs and 3oz.

Sometimes she’ll drink the whole 4 but definitely will drink 3oz. If the baby showing signs of hunger I don’t think it’s an issue. Some babies having cluster feedings or growth spurts :)
