Sleep regression

Ok so what does sleep regression look like? I’ll rock my baby to sleep, turn on the noise machine, she’ll be sound asleep then wake up 20 minutes to an hour later. She’s fed and only eats 1x a night. I tried feeding her more but still only eats 4-4.5 ounces. She’s in a pitch black room. Everything else is fine. She used to sleep for 3-4 hours straight at night. One feeding then sleep till six-7 in the morning. Now it’s a struggle. She’s 7 months old. And if this is sleep regression how long does this last

Could be a sleep regression, teething, illness. If it is a sleep regression it could last anywhere from a couple days up to 8 weeks. We just survived teething, COVID and 6 weeks of sleep regression. Every night was different. I just found myself crying and the only way I could explain it was "my baby hates sleep"

she just finished up meds for an ear infection but it seems to just have started. Because with the ear infection she slept more. Now teething possibly so I’ll put some teething gel on the pacifier tonight and see if that helps

Fingers crossed it's teething and not a sleep regression! You can put the teething gel in the fridge for extra relief too.

Could also be a false start?

Maybe it’s because you’re rocking her to sleep! I know on taking Cara babies she says you can rock and cuddle them but never let them fall asleep in your arms, get them drowsy enough then set them down in their crib awake. If they fall asleep with you and then wake up in their crib half an hour later they are like where tf am i… this is not where i fell asleep… its like you going to bed in your own room and waking up in your neighbors bed not where you fell asleep. You’d scream and cry too. Baby’s are finally more aware of this and are going through like the “distance leap” so maybe this is contributing to what you are explaining
