Hiya, just passing my hospital bag.
I’ve packed maternity pads but seen everyone saying the pants are better anyone have any specific recommendations?
Also any must haves in their bag I may have forgotten 🙏 x

The pantss are miles better. I used Always discreet incontinence pants I found they felt less like a nappy. Lol. But people swear off using Tena.
What have you already got in your bag? So, I know what you could have missed

I started off with maternity towels and then moved to the pants but wish I’d started with nappy pants earlier. They’re really great if you have a csection as they help hold you in a bit and feel a bit more together. I used the Always too 😊

I've packed both as people have said the pants are especially great earlier on. But I've given myself the option for in the moment 😊

@Charly I went the full postpartum bleed in the pants and then just switch to regular pads instead if maternity

these are great right!

I used the disposable pants for the first few days, then switched to Tesco maternity pads which were really comfy! Sprayed them with the spritz for bits spray but I’m being cheap this time and just bought some witch hazel from boots ☺️

I saw someone else mention witch hazel, what is it? X

it’s supposed to help reduce inflammation and ease pain. You can soak cotton pads in it and pop them in the freezer, then lay them on top of your maternity pads to ease the swelling. I had the Expert Midwife spray last time but it’s £15 a bottle and the Boots own liquid was only £3.50! 😁

Ooooh, I’ll have a look tomorrow, thank u x
