Where can I go to get my child vaccinated?

My son is turning 3 next January and will be due his booster jabs. I'm currently living in UK and will be moving to Ottawa this July. I know it'll take time for us to find a GP but I don't want my son to miss his jabs so does anyone know if I can just go into a walk-in centre to get them done or are there other clinics we can go to if we don't have a family doctor yet?

It is probably not aloud for me to comment this but I would seriously look into the latest safety developments on these jabs . Please reconsider for the sake of your 3 yo !!

There are walk in clinics here, and some nurse practitioner offices where I believe they should be able to do vaccines. You’ll have to do a google search to see what’s near you and how they operate (some are literally walk in and wait and some you call early and they give you a time for a same day appointment. You should get a copy of your little one’s immunization record before you come and mention that they were being immunized in GB previously just incase the immunization schedule is slightly different between countries

@Jessica thank you so much for taking the time to reply :) glad to hear there are options! Seems like it's really difficult to get a GP there much like in UK! The waiting list can be so long!

There is a program for kids that doesn’t have a family doctor and are due for vaccination. It is called “kids come first”. You can check it out online. https://www.kidscomefirst.ca/en/kids-come-first/vaccinate-and-up-to-date.aspx

@Linda brilliant! Thank you so much ❤️
