Antenatal classes

Has anyone else had trouble getting antenatal classes? I have asked at every midwife appointment to send me in the direction of antenatal classes and have been told there is none on at the moment.

I got mines sent to me directly in the post from the community midwives, didn’t have any trouble this was back in December. I had 3 sessions from week 31-33 weeks

I had to ask a few times, but eventually I got booked in, however they started at my 37 weeks which was a bit late for my comfort so I went on and paid for private ones. 😕

I had to go to a different area to get Antenatal classes with the NHS. My midwife suggested NCT. I think there are a lot of people wanting/needing classes at the moment, but not enough midwives to run them.

I was offered access to an online course by Solihull Approach which is quite decent - you could ask about this if no in-person courses are available.
