i got my LO ears pierced at her pediatrician!

I've called every pediatrician around me (hers doesnt do piercings) , none of the ones that do ear piercings will do it unless you're their patient. All the piercing/tattoo studios by me have a minimum age requirement of at least 3 years old. I want to get her ears pierced so badly but if I can't find a place that uses a needle vs a gun I likely won't get them done. A gun causes a lot more damage and on such little ears that can be terrible, and the sanitary thing like mentioned above. I wish you luck finding a place! Do your research, maybe your area has better options than mine đź–¤

hey i actually live in CT now too. maybe try this place out. they’re in west port (can’t vouch for them as my pediatrician did my LO piercing)

Definitely go to a piercer/tattoo studio. Never get it done with a gun. They're blunt force trauma and can cause issues. I had a lump in one of mine from a gun, it would get a bit gross, healed slower and made stretching it so slow!
Also be aware that she's still growing so when she's older they could become wonky.
Ive seen posts from people whose parents had them done as a baby/kid and they were either wonky or so stretched (without being purposely stretched) that they didn't like them or had other issues.
Also please go for gold. If she has a metal allergy she won't be able to tell you and they'll burn and scar her.

Heyrowan is where I did my girl piercings. Would recommend as it’s a licensed nurse doing the piercings

thank you! I'll have to look into how their hand powered device differs from a piercing gun, love that they're all nurses.

Rowan was amazing with my daughter they are RN’s and pierced my daughter’s ears at the same time.

now I've got to ask my pediatrician if she does it.

I went to Rowan when my daughter was 2 months old. It’s tradition to pierce ears at 2 months in my family. Everyone at Rowan is a licensed nurse. Great experience! I bought an extra bottle of their ear cleaner just in case so you might want to make sure you add that unexpected cost to your budget

My daughter’s pediatrician actually pierced her ears. I believe all Pediatric Associate places do it. I am not sure who your daughters pediatrician is but maybe they do it as well

I got my daughter’s ears pierced at a tattoo shop with a professional piercer. Everything was sanitized and clean and he was quick and gentle.

Im in California so I can’t suggest anyone there but I would do my research before just going anywhere and depending on how you want yours and LO experience to be.

I just got my girls ears pierced and it was such an amazing experience, I was so nervous but I’m glad I did it. I went with a professional piercer who did the needle (didn’t want guns or doc office because they require tdap for it and they do double guns) I breast fed while needle went in and I think that helped a lot too because she wasn’t held down she would’ve cried and fought us more if we did that. She cried of course but just for a little while once we were done it was like nothing happened and she’s healing really well too. Good luck I hope you find someone that makes it a great experience in your area ♥️
