Best books to gift

Want to buy a book for my sister as a gift, she reads a lot so I’m guessing she has all the classics. Any out there books that she might not have got for herself?

Check out the works as they do 3 for £6 or maybe look at buying an illustrated version of a classical book.

Wild - Cheryl strayed. Is such a beautiful book & I’ve gifted it several times to people who read completely different things! Or buy her a special edition of a fav book!

Has she got a kindle x

I'd recommend retellings of Greek mythology by Madeline Miller or Jennifer Saint. The books are pretty too.

Does she have a Goodreads account that you could have a look at? ☺️

These are some of the books she’s ordered on Amazon so thought it might help for recommendations?

@Emma Jade she has but she prefers paper books!

I was going to say my partner got me an Amazon gift card that I can buy books on kindle x

Or maybe just an Amazon voucher or Waterstones. I love a wander spelling Waterstones

Midnight library by Matt Haig might be a good shout or Throne of Glass which is by the same author as a court of thrones and roses ☺️

Maybe look at Heywood Hill if you can’t decide? They do a subscription service I’ve used for years. All beautiful hard back covers sent every month to your door and wrapped all pretty! She fills in a detailed questionnaire and they hand pick books for you. They have never missed!!! And the books all look amazing on a shelf after xxx

Or go with the original books that have been recently made into new tv shows. Like Brideshead Revisited which Saltburn was based on. Or the Talented Mr Ripley I read last week and it was brilliant. Xxx

The folio society is a bit more expensive but they do beautiful collectors editions. You could see if they have a version of one you know she loves

Looking at her amazon orders, she seams pretty open to different reads. I would recommend the Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey, or the Binding by Bridget Collins. Both something a bit different, and are amazing reads.

Thank for all the great suggestions! I have a years worth of book gifts to order for her now 🥰
