Help! Swollen ear

Hey fellow mommas. My son’s ear started looking like this a few days ago. Initially i thought it was cradle cap- he had some on his scalp and i was able to help It go away. Now I’m not sure it’s just cradle cap- it’s swollen and a little warm to touch. He reaches for it whenever i put cream. Has anyone seen this before?His behavior is otherwise normal and he is a happy Boy.

Safest to ask his pediatrician! My son had cradle cap spread behind his ears and needed prescription cream, but not on the ear itself.

Swollen and warm to touch could potentially be a sign of an allergic reaction; check with paediatrician!

Swollen and warm and peeling? Did he have fever? I’d be worried about an infection. I’d call ped or go to er

Get it checked mom, my girl was super cranky few days back,, checked her temperature,, and took her to UC,, it was detected an ear infection

Thanks ladies! Temperature been good and no sign of allergies anywhere else like hives. I am going to call his MD tomorrow . We have a family history of eczema and psoriasis. I’m hoping that isn’t what it is, but I’d rather be proactive and start treatment!
