What does 1/5 engaged mean?

seen mostly it means baby is deeply engaged but just checking as I originally thought it meant baby is beginning to engage but now I’ve seen it means baby is nearly fully engaged 🫢

I think you were maybe right initially and it's just beginning to engage.x

It depends how it's recorded I think! So on my badger notes 1/5 engaged means beginning to engage :)

She was quite shocked when she checked me and asked if I had my bags packed but I’m not sure if she was just asking or if it’s because I’m quite engaged waiting on her reply how confusing ! 😂 thank you both 🙏🏻

My midwife said I was 3/5 yesterday & when I asked her to explain (my first didn’t engage at all until active labour) she said he was 3/5 of the way down & had 2/5 left to go!!xx

so are you classed as deeply engaged how many weeks are you? I have felt a lot of pressure for last 2 weeks and knew I had to be engaged but just didn’t think I would be nearly fully 🤣 x

I’m 35 weeks tomorrow and yeah was told baby can still take weeks to come as she’s my 1st but honestly same I’m so ready to meet her I can’t even turn in bed anymore just glad we are nearly there ! 🤣 I am set to be induced if she isn’t here before 39 weeks tho so hoping she does come on her own when she’s ready x

With my team it’s the opposite, 4/5 means 4/5 of the head is above the pelvis xx

Since 31 weeks and am now nearly 36. Doesn’t mean anything in terms of when labour will be. Just more uncomfortable!

no I know it doesn’t mean labour is around the corner I was just so confused because I originally thought it meant just starting to engage I definitely started to engage 2 weeks ago as I just could feel it but was just so shocked to find I’m fully engaged xx

oh I know my fiancé is sleeping on the couch because I shift too much and can’t get back to sleep with his snoring adding to it 🤣🤣

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Fed up

Anyone else just feeling fed up in general? I just never feel happy anymore. Wake up dreading what the day ahead of us will be like.
Little one will be 6 week tomorrow

32 weeks

32 week growth scan and clinic appointment. Did anything unusual happen? Ive heard a few people saying 32 weeks was when they had a induction date

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
