Diaper Rash

Hi mommas, FTM here, my 7 month old has a diaper rash around his anus. I have taken him to the doctor about this rash for over a month now and it started off just right around his anus and now it’s spreading more and more. Doctors said it was very minor the first two times I went in for the diaper rash and now that it has spread more, we went to the pediatrician again and they keep telling me the same thing….to put hydrocortisone cream, diaper rash cream then aquaphor. They tested him for strep around his anus and that was negative, they said it was not a yeast rash…I’m at a loss. He wears Pampers since he was born practically and I never had a problem with it….any suggestions? We have tried, desitin, honest brand everyday diaper cream, butt paste, a&d….any suggestions? Has anyone had success with TubbyTodd?

Weleda diaper cream helped my daughter it’s a German brand

I apply aquaphor religiously. Every time I change diaper. Nothing else besides aquaphor and it does wonders for us

i haven’t used tubby todd on a diaper rash but it helps with other parts of his skin. sounds like a lot of stuff being put down there & it needs to breathe. get some puppy pads and let him go diaper free for a while, try a new brand of diaper, baking soda soak for his bottom or even breast milk.

Mix a liquid antacid like maalox with cornstarch to use as a rash cream.

We absolutely swear by triple paste, my son had a bad bad diaper rash after using pampers wipes/diaper and he even bled.. my poor baby. Triple paste was the only thing that helped! We tried aquaphor, Boudreaux, AD, earth mama, desitin. We love aquaphor but I don’t think it was strong enough! we use it after every diaper change and he’s never had another diaper rash.

Have you tried to wash lo's butt after every dedication with water? And stop using any wipes

I use Aquaphor for my little one

Try banpathen from Amazon. I’d switch him diapers

If it is intense and he is starting to have wounds.. there is a video on youtube of a mom of twins who had severe diaper rash. She recommends 3 products. I did it for my baby who got a SEVERE diaper rash and it worked great. It was the only thing that workd because the pediatrician medicine and advice didn't work that much. I will try to find the video. However, that was for yeast diaper rash..
