I think you need to poo into something bigger and use the spatula part of it to add some in. Maybe put loo roll into the toilet to stop it going down into water?

@Kerry I’m more concerned that they just give you a clear bag etc to hand back into reception it’s making me cringe 🤣

@Alisha my work made me do one of these before to check I didn’t have an illness that was going around the nursery and it was so embarrassing having to hand it in and they were confused as to why I was doing it 😂 and what made it even worse is that it came back fine

@Victoria I’ve been asked to do one as I’ve had diarrhoea 1-3 times a day for 10 days now with no stomach bug etc I thought it was maybe signs of having baby soon but doesn’t look like it 🥴

@Alisha at the start of my pregnancy I had a bit of diarrhoea, I hated it. I had no signs of baby coming and then all of a sudden I lost my show had a sweep and baby came all within 48 hours and he was 5 days early. I really thought he was going to be late because things seemed to be no different until 39+1 days

@Victoria I was straight on google after a few days of it happening and it all said it can be body clearing out etc but now 10 days in it’s just annoying🤣 I’m 38+1 now so I’m still having the tiniest bit hope

They should’ve given you a basin and a spatula 😭😭😭

There should be a little scooper in there Usually they will give a plastic thing to poop in and then you scoop up some poop into the vial. Giving a stool sample is probably in my top 10 worst things I’ve had to do file. 🤣

I had to do one for proof of having norovirus cos I could get sick pay🙄 I just put a towel across my toilet and went on that then scooped it with the spatula and threw the towel away. It’s hard to find a container to poop in🤣🤣

@Kassia there is a scooper thing attached to the stick but didn’t give me anything to 💩 in I’m mortified

lay toilet roll in the toilet to stop it going in the water then you scoop it up with the scooper and put it in the vile, I have done many of these and always been told to lay the toilet with something or literally hold some paper and control the poo so you can can a little to put it in 😭

Get a pot like an old ice cream tub and put it the toilet to catch it and then use a disposable spoon to get some into that specimen pot. That’s what my doctor told me to do once 😬

It doesn’t need to be filled with a lot just enough for the tiny scoop
