Hey fellow mamas, so I ate some cheese today from a charcuterie. While it wasn’t a whole lot, I had some Brie (did not eat the rind), some goat cheese, and the white part of a blue cheese. I don’t eat this normally as this was my first time in 9 months. I think the total amount I ate was like two tablespoons all together. Should I be freaking out? The hotel did tell me that it was all made in other pasteurized milk. Thanks all!

If it was all made with pasteurised milk then you’re absolutely fine, you could’ve eaten as much as you wanted! Even if it wasn’t I wouldn’t worry, it’s such a small amount but keep an eye on yourself I suppose. I’m sure you’ll be fine!

I wouldn’t worry, you only ate a small amount. X

The chances of getting sick/listeria from food is pretty slim. You'll be alright eating this! I tried to watch what I ate my first pregnancy but ultimately decided my second pregnancy that I wasn't going to torture myself and ate what I wanted.
Being that it's pasteurized then it's totally fine to eat all you want

You’re fine don’t worry lol. You statistically have more of a chance of getting sick from eating washed salad greens or chicken.

Whew!!! Okay thanks ladies!!! ❤️

Since when is cheese not ok? As long as it’s pasteurized (in the US most is)

All I eat is cheese!!! lol everything seems fine

Literally nothing to worry about

If it's pasteurized you have nothing to worry about. Unpasteurized can carry bacteria but the chances of you getting food poisoning would be slim. Anyway, with the cheeses you ate you're good no worries 👌

There’s two things with cheese; everyone seems to know about pasteurised milk but the other is the mould rinds on Brie and goats cheese, and the mould in the blue cheese. (Edible mould, like mushrooms).
I do agree though that it’s very unlikely they will cause you to get ill, so I wouldn’t worry. I just wanted to highlight to others that it isn’t just pasteurisation to watch for if you’re being strict on foods.
