Do I need a fit to fly?!

I’ll be 28 weeks when we fly, 29 when we return. Flying with easyJet but will I need a fit to fly? I can probably wear something to mostly hide the bump but I’m panicking now as we fly Tuesday and I hadn’t even thought of it!!

Jet2 require one from 28 weeks, so easyJet may be similar. Does it tell you online? Edited to add: I’ve just searched and they don’t say you need one with easyJet, just that ask that you’ve consulted with your medical practitioner before you fly. It doesn’t specifically say you have to have a fit to fly note, so I’d take it as fact that you don’t need one.

You will need one no doubt these airlines can be pedantic . Get one and travel with peace of mind

Just flew with easy jet at 29 weeks, didn’t need a certificate. Their website clearly states you don’t need one. I even used the special assistance lanes to jump the queue on the way home. Portugal give priority to pregnant women!

I just flew to Ibiza at 29 weeks and Tenerife at 30 weeks within the last two weeks from the UK - you don’t need a fit to fly or any additional paperwork and this is all confirmed on their website. I did however carry my maternity notes on my carry on which proves how far along I am etc incase I was asked as you can’t fly after 36 weeks. https://www.easyjet.com/en/help/boarding-and-flying/flying-with-children#:~:text=If%20you're%20pregnant%2C%20you,you%20which%20ones%20when%20booking. “If you’re pregnant, you can travel up until the end of your 35th week (32nd week for multiple pregnancies) and you don’t need to bring a medical certificate. Some seats on board the aircraft are restricted but we show you which ones when booking.”

I flew with Ryanair and they require it from 28 weeks. Your gp or midwife can give it to you just call Then. I would deffo just get one any way other wise you Could end up being declined boarding xx

All airlines want one from 28 weeks. However, I flew out on Wednesday 31 weeks and no one asked me for a thing. Some people are too embarrassed to asked 😂 incase they get it wrong 😂 I’d get one printed off the website if they have one & get your midwife to fill it out. You shouldn’t need to pay for it then. 🥰

Travel agent here all depends on the airline so double check with the airline

I didn’t know this was a thing, I flew with easyjet at 33 weeks pregnant and no issues everyone was just really friendly x

As long as you don’t have medical conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes risk of pre-clamsia you should be okay xx

Girl for the 5 mins it takes to get one please just get one, it’s really not worth the risk for a piece of paper is it. To potentially Ruin your holiday xx

I’d get one just in case x

I’m wondering the same because I have to travel back home and I will be 28 weeks pregnant and using Air Canada
