Water!!

My baby is 8 and a half months old and I’m pretty sure he’s had way over the water limit today. I think he’s had around 11oz. I’m not sure what to do?

How?!

I know!! He was given 2oz at breakfast & lunch. But at dinner he was given a full cup & has left 2 & a half oz. I’m not 100% sure how much he drank at breakfast/lunch. I literally can’t remember. He never normally even drinks a whole cup so I usually don’t really pay attention as I know he only has around 5/6oz

I wouldn’t worry about it as it’s only one day. Just keep an eye on his wees and poos x

thank you! I am usually so hot on it! But today I let it slip! 🩵

he spits some bits out for sure but he’s still definitely had over 8oz today. He absolutely loves his water & will just chug it. He usually has 4 bottles of formula but I’ve not given him his last one today just because of how much water he’s drunk. He’s probably spat 2/3 mouthfuls out today. But he really does love his water

thank you! Yeah I know milk is way more important than water I just didn’t want to give him more liquid knowing he’s already had so much water & making the situation worst

He’s going to be ok lovely. This is quite a random perspective but since there’s been a war in Gaza, whereby mothers are feeding their babies water only as they can’t access formula, it’s made me stop panicking about things like this.

Just remember, somebody wrote these guidelines and rules about how much water is on etc. but when I was a kid, my mam said I used to have water all the time from newborn. Back then, sleeping on your tummy was the norm too. Don’t panic.

These things change all the time and a couple of drops of water is ok. Remember, if it’s hot etc., they’ll need even more (just like us) 🧡
