The first run we did with ours LO she was able yo sit up but screamed bloody murder with the life jacket so I sat and held her while my husband paddled but we also did it in a low risk area meaning not many boats a few flats boats but not many.
Paddleboarder here, we got a lil life vest for him and a kayak seat that I strap him in to so I can paddle. He had a blast!
Yup! Just a coast guard approved life jacket and flat water kayaking ❤️ My guy is 8 months
@Odalys she is doing all the things sitting up, army crawling -sometimes full crawl. We were told to wait until she is fully crawling for ISR classes by the various instructors.
@April that’s really good advice! With baby, I’ve just learned easing into it is always best no matter what we do! I may just practice sitting in it with baby just to see his reaction 😂
I just had a life jacket for my son and we only went on the lake with no other boats or anything so there was no extra movement in the water.
@Odalys as of that post I made two days ago...LG started full on crawling yesterday. My neighbor has a kayak and might also do the same and let her sit in it. She loves water and willing lays in the tub with a little water in it. I'm hoping she really is a water baby because my husband and i love the beach
I’ve been looking into this myself. Maybe start with a life vest for your baby. My LO is only 4mos so we’re waiting for baby to be able to atleast sit up on his own. But im also considering doing swimming lessons soon!
