Talking include gesture such as sign language words even if not perfect for exemple nana for banana and also noise such a vrouum for cars mooo for cows. Now I would be looking at does your child makes noise? Like bababa or is quiete ? I think like any other milestone it can vary when they start talking. My son at 12 months old would only say mama and sign more Pediatrician worried me about his speech at 17 months old he now has over 30 words ( we speak 3 differents language) he had no words like 4 months ago then all of the suddent he is a chatter box
My son is the same, he says some words like dada, mama ( I believe he is referring to me sometimes ) also says nana, yeah, bababa and some other random words but I think thats just him babbling. I get worried sometimes but also remind myself that they do things in their own time! If he gets to the age of 2 and still only saying that much I will be bringing it up to someone though🙂 Xx
I thought that but when I listen carefully a lot of her babble are words
My little boy is the same. He’ll say mamma alot with no context at all. He’s 17 months old x
