@Karen thank you so much, I use the togged sleepsuits at home just 1.5s or 2.5s I wandering on the 3.5s due to the temp drop (I normally really feel the cold) which is why I wandered if co-sleeping might be better but we’ve just stopped that a couple of months ago although I’m sure she’d love it for camping. It’s going to be an interesting experience but I’m sure she’ll love it just going to difficult with 2 young ones on different schedules and needs
Yes we wondered that about co-sleeping. We also took a duvet to put under the lilo too and but a blanket under a sheet on top of the lilo, but it depends how much stuff you can take. We’ve got something like this: https://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/style/ST950661/683565?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwir2xBhC_ARIsAMTXk87q-KJATLNF7VX0EkJcrNI7XrFRfq3uQobR2XC46KGwr-RiSqwcRaIaAvN0EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds#683565 Although he was too hot when went to bed. let me know what you dress yours in and if it worked, I don’t really want to take a thinner one off to put a thicker one on in the middle of the night, but maybe that’s what we have to do. 🤷🏼♀️
P.s they love any blow up things you have e.g lilo, chair etc. 😂
@Karen I’ll let you know when we go it’s not until July, I bet she will I have the double height air mattresses I upgraded when I went camping and was pregnant 😂 then got one for my friend the following year when she was pregnant 😂
Have a look at My First ReadyBed.
Hello! Have a look on Morrisons Outdoors. They have baby/toddler camping sleeping bags, would highly advise them. Using ones made for indoors, outside can be quite dangerous in temperature terms (but it all depends on the weather)
We’ve been camping when my toddler was almost 1 and again when he turned 2 years. I take sleep suits of various togs, but the ones with arms. I have a 3.5tog one thinking it may be really cold but I’ve not used it much. I found it really hard to know how to dress them for bed as when they go to sleep it can still be quite warm however the temp can drop a lot over night. We took a travel cot but also took a big enough lilo for us all to sleep on (we also co-sleep). Just took lots of blankets to put underneath. Travel cot was useful to help contain him while we pitched and stroked the tent. Last year he wanted to help, but that was hard work! The first night is generally awful but if you can get through that then it’s better the following night. We love going camping with our boy, he loves it so much. Hope you have fun!
