im currently breastfeeding and not planning on stopping anytime soon but i have been wanting to get more tattoos. i remember reading somewhere that you can’t get tattoos while breastfeeding but im not sure if thats true or not🤷‍♀️

I’ve read that too but I think it’s just in case you get an infection as a BF momma I’ve been itching to get another tattoo as well

Same! My Artist won’t do whilst I’m still breast feeding

I read to wait atleast 9-12 months after giving birth so the baby isnt only dependent on breast milk

My friend owns a piercing/tattoo parlour and said she won’t work on anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding due to higher rates of infection and insurance.

@Sarah what do you mean by insurance ?

@Lazarus she implied that her insurance doesn’t cover her to tattoo or pierce pregnant/Bf women, people who are visibly ill, drunk etc. It’s knowingly working on someone who is at risk or none consenting basically but she’s Uk based

So basically if a mum got ill she could sue her, so she refuses
