Puramino shortage

Ring round all the pharmacies you can get to and see if anyone's able to order it and then get a new prescription issued from the GP to take into the pharmacy that can get it x

You need to get an alternative prescribed. Pureamino isn't going to be available for a while I've heard. We have been given SMA alfamino in the meantime. If you save a few tins of pureamino you can do half and half to get baby used to the taste before fully transitioning over xxx

what a nightmare 😩 my baby has been on it for 5 months, I hope he’ll take to the alternative. Was your baby ok with the transition? Xx

Oh no! I know when nutramigen went out of stock the normal village pharmacy we use couldn't get it but the next village over had an over stock of it so we were able to get it so wondered if it was the same case for you. I did check their website last night and nothing came up about it xx

that happened to us when he used to be on Aptamil Pepti and we were able to get it from a different pharmacy. Thank you for checking. I’ve seen a few posts on Facebook too saying it isn’t going to be available for a while. It makes me panic and wonder if there’s anything wrong with it and been using it all these months 😩 xx

It's likely what happened to normal nutramigen one tin out of an entire batch was wrong so they've recalled the whole thing and a couple batches made either side of it to make sure nothing bad happens. I think with normal nutramigen (as it's the same company) it lasted about a month before it was all back to normal, worst case it may be wise to swap to another amino one if possible or just keep calling around and see if anyone can get some in xxx
