Baby bottles sterilisation after 1 year

I remember reading that baby bottles should be sterilized for the first 12 months at least. In my mind this became almost immediately "when he turns 1 you can finally stop this agony, hurray!!".. so I had assumed to stop doing it this month ✌️. But then I thought that if the recommendation is to do this for "at least" the first year, maybe I shouldn't stop now, but try to keep up for a little bit.. Am I overthinking? Are you still sterilizing your baby's bottles? And for how long more are you planning to do so? Thanks in advance for your perspective!

For as long as formula is being used you should sterilise. It’s not to do with baby’s age but killing harmful bacteria in the formula xx

You need to continue for as long as you're using formula

Thank you both! Although I've never understood why formula should grow more bacteria than normal milk. I think it'll remain a mistery to me!

Just aslong as they are on formula, once having cows milk they don't need to be sterilised

Thank you all!
