Does anyone else REALLY struggle with their partner's snoring?

Baby is EBF and always has been so I've always done the night feeds and wakes and I'm genuinely not even resentful of this but as much as I adore my husband, the rage I feel listening to him snore uncontrollably every single night is driving me to insanity. That man can fall asleep talking, it's instant, and so is the snoring. It's driving me utterly mental. LO sometimes ends up in the bed so he does sometimes use the spare room (I sleep brilliantly when he does this 🤦‍♀️) but it makes me so so sad as I don't want to sleep in separate rooms, I just want him to stop sounding like a wild boar every single night, all night. I'm not sure anything has annoyed me more in life than sitting up with the baby while he snores..

Yeeees I have to wake mine up multiple times in the night to make him change position or I just move to the spare room but it does make me sad! But also lucky that we have a spare room 🤣

Yep, I know exactly how you feel!

Avatar

Yes! I’m the same, I hate that my husband is sleeping in the spare room but if he didn’t I’d be getting no sleep whatsoever

Yeeeeees! This is me every night! I honestly could throw him out the window 😂

In the exact same boat! I’ve had to sleep in the spare room for the past week as his snoring has been unreal! Didn’t want to resort to it but also have to get some rest!!

Yes, mine works away, 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, I got into a better routine when he was away, now he is back, could not sleep until past 1am last night, then bailed to the spare room, slept there, then he brought baby to me when he woke up

Yep,made him move in the spare bedroom, could still hear him🙄🙄

Yep. My other half regularly sleeps in the spare room. I used to use ear plugs but I can’t use them and risk not hearing our boy overnight so I’m in one bed and he’s in the other! Makes me sad but also I think it’s extremely common! If he could stop snoring he would be back in the bed 🤷🏻‍♀️

Omg I could have written this! The man is an angel but my GOD is he loud 😩😩😩

I am so glad I'm not alone in this 😂😂 it's sounds soo trivial but it genuinely makes me so anxious every night - I worry more about my husband's sleep than my baby's 🤦‍♀️ well, I'm wishing you all the best of luck tonight with your partners...well those who have them in your bed 😂 my husband just asked me if 'he's in the bed tonight' with a sad, doe-eyed look so I've said yes while crying inside...

Avatar

@Lisa He keeps saying to do this too but there's no way I can rely on him to hear her so it's not an option either 🤦‍♀️

Avatar

@Teema So he says every night- 'ill wait for you to fall asleep' then proceeds to fall asleep within 3 minutes 🤦‍♀️ the thought is there but it rarely translates!

Avatar

I have found myself saying I think she just needs to come in the bed so that he has to leave several times 😂 I feel so bad! Especially when I put her back in the cot successfully and actually have the bed to myself 😂

Avatar

It’s hard. I said to my other half you won’t like me saying this but you don’t hear him when you are snoring so god damn loud, plus you deep sleep straight away! I struggle to get to sleep and I think it’s just Mum senses kick in so one of us needs to be able to hear him and apparently that’s me… 🤪

Avatar

Oh my god I still hear my other half and I’ll be downstairs one floor!! I don’t know how he physically snores that loud AND he does it with his mouth closed. He looks so peaceful yet sounds like the spawn of satan is trying to escape his face!

Avatar

Also, he’s snoring next to me on the sofa right now after nodding off within about 45 seconds of closing his eyes!!
