tmi but has this happened to you?

i woke up this morning and my right boob hurt so bad it was almost as bad as the birth itself😂 but srsly so bad. I strictly bf and only pumped on that same boob once, a whole week prior just to see how much she was getting and haven’t done so since. but anyways it was so bad that i literally passed out. when i came to i felt perfectly fine just tender. What do you guys think that was about? should i go to drs? has that happened to anyone else?? i can’t remember the last time i passed out before this im just kinda confused

If there are red spots on that boob, and those spots are also hard & tender to touch, you might have mastitis, I would recommend calling your doctor or ER immediately because you need antibiotics.

I’ve been there 😖 have always said I’d rather give birth again than go through that type of pain in my breasts. Unfortunately for me, I was getting mastitis all the time during 2020 so nobody would help me due to covid. Things that can help prevent it/get it feeling better quicker- -sunflower lecithin pills. I swear by this. -Having your little one frequently nurse from it. -epsom salt and warm water -wearing cabbage leaves so you look like the little mermaid lol -switching between hot and cold temps on the affected area -massaging it (super painful I know) It’ll pass, I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. Could be mastitis! When I had mastitis I literally just woke up randomly with it, no signs the day/night before. The boob pain was the least worst part for me, I felt like I was going to die I was so poorly, I couldn’t walk or pick the baby up or anything. Worst fever I’ve ever had and just felt so so unbelievably poorly. The relief when he would drain the boob was lovely. A hot bath was nice to soak my boobs too, and an ice pack on the boobs, or hot water bottle. I had to get antibiotics that day, I rang as soon as the docs opened and the prescribed them over the phone c
