EBF & Teething
Omg! Where are all my ebf mammas at with a teething baby?
My LO doesn’t have any teeth yet but he’s teething worse than ever so I think they’re ok the way through, but jeeeeepers! It’s killing me already so I can’t imagine how you do it when the teeth actually cut through 😭😭 suggestions / recommendations? 😬

Hello ! I felt the same just before my daughters first two came through, she kept biting with her gums sooo painful ! She now has 9 teeth (too much for me at this age !) and I make sure her mouth is open properly and she is latched on correctly. I need to see my nipple is going towards the roof of her mouth. She hasn’t bitten me since two months now, it’s not painful at all x
She also needs to be hungry/want comfort and not distracted. It will be all good if the latch is good, the teeth won’t come into contact with you xx
The starting bit hurts because she didn't know she was biting and I threw out a really big reaction like NO! She got a shock and cried 😬 but she knows better not to do it again
ah thank you ❤️this is reassuring. I’ve made more of a conscious effort today to take him off me when I can hear/ feel he’s stopped drinking as that’s when he just nibbles for comfort 🙈poor thing is struggling badly with them so I’m sure it’ll pass soon anyway. Wow! 9 teeth! 🦷 😮I can’t even imagine haha xx
