Inducing labour

I’m 38 weeks today and have been in slow labour since Monday evening, was checked over early hours on Tuesday morning and was 1cm. They’ve told me I can try things at home to get things moving but I still feel like I’m not getting anywhere as my waters haven’t gone but I’m getting pains inconsistently throughout the day along with period cramps and backache. I’ve been losing my plug and had my show on Tuesday.

I’ve tried raspberry leaf tea, pineapple, a couple of curries and sex but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone else got any ideas as I’m well and truly fed up!

I’m the exact same I’ve been in it since last week 😭😭 and not getting anywhere, I’ve lost all my plug and had my bloody show and I’m 1-2cm. I know I need more consistent contractions but it’s just not happening!! I’m 38+5

it’s so frustrating isn’t it! I’ve got group strep B so will need my waters breaking if I get to 4cm before they break and then will need to be induced straight away. I’m mindful the induction process can take a few days too and I don’t think I’m prepared for much longer! The triage at my hospital suggested asking my midwife for a sweep but she won’t do one until 39 weeks. Hope you get things moving soon xx

I’m in the exact same boat except over DD. Best relief for me atm is the ball either kneeling against it rocking or sat bouncing helps loads with the back ache.

it’s so frustrating! I’ve had 3 sweeps this week and they’ve just given me cramps but nothing else. Maybe worth trying though! At least they’ll be able to tell you if you’ve dilated anymore so you know when you get your 4. Good luck! X
