My little one is just about to turn 8 months old, so it's been a while since my section for his arrival... We are told in the days after a section to drink peppermint tea, which did help and that acute time of trapped wind was sore but has long passed (no pun intended lol)
What I'm struggling with, is I keep getting real bouts of it, but it's so so sore. It can feel like my belly is 5 months pregnant again or around my back between my shoulder blades or under my ribs can feel like it's stabbing.
Honestly the first time it happened he was 6 weeks old and I woke in the night thinking I was having a heart attack and nearly called for emergency help. Since then I've had probably 8-10 really sore episodes, but I'm now figuring out ways to help it.
Other than my ramble, I want to know if anyone else is/has experienced this?!
It's a postpartum thing I feel has never been spoken of π

I suffered with this so badly when I was pregnant. The stabbing pain between your shoulder blades sounds like indigestion which I also suffer from. Certain foods trigger it for me, like warm bread, tomato soup. Maybe keeping a food diary would help incase it's somthing you are eating. Also taking liquid gaviscon as soon as you feel it coming on should help. Hope it gets better. Trapped wind is soooooo painful as well :( the first time I had it my partner wanted to call an ambulance because I was lying on the floor in so much pain

I had what I thought was trapped wind but it turned out to be my gallbladder, I had lots of pain under my ribs especially my right side but would travel inbetween my shoulder blades ect..
Unfortunately this turned into an emergency as my gallbladder was actually gangrenous and caused me to have pancreatitis and I started turning septic.
I'm not saying yours is but I would suggest getting checked out if you haven't already done so xx
