Hi everyone, please could someone explain what type of bottle/ cup my 6 month old should be using whilst weaning
All of the information is so conflicting and confusing I am really unsure, also should we be boiling the water and letting this cool down or can the water be straight from the tap?

Open cups are best as teaches them to properly drink. I have a tommee tippee training cup that we use as open cup and a dinky cup both we really like. Doidy cups are supposed to be good for them to learn to hold the cup and drink themselves.
After 6 months they can have tap water ☺️

An open or straw cup which is valve free.
Avoid ‘non spill’ cups as they have a valve, and anything with a hard spout.
The valves use the suck and swallow motion which babies already know, we want to be teaching them sip and swallow which is an advanced drinking skill x
