Allergy or not

Hi! I’m hoping someone can help me
Does this look like a CMPA ?

My baby girl has been on aptamil pepti for about 4 weeks but because of mucus in her poo, however these skin changes just appeared yesterday after being on regular aptamil for about 2/3 weeks now as GP advised to switch back to normal after theres been no changes to her poo but maybe we should’ve stayed on it for longer? I’m not sure; either way I’m really frustrated as every GP says something different

I thought you had to use special milk for 6 weeks to see if it improves?

well how would I have known, the drs advised to switch back to normal because she never had sickness and she’s been gaining good weight on regular formula
Now after doing some research I do know she should’ve been on it for a bit longer

Is the dry patch in the photo the only one? Drs are trialling us on pepti too, but my LO had red spotty face and neck, it wasn’t just one small area.
They’ve said to us at least 6 weeks to see a difference but totally agree, every doctor we have seen has said something different - eczema, colic, maybe a virus or a possible allergy! It’s so hard

The symptoms we were told by a pedeatrician were a combination of:
- mucous in poo
-blood in poo
-eczema
-rash /hives
-unsettledness and pain
- breathing congestion
-low weight gain
With blood in poo, rash and low weight gain being main symptoms to watch for.

That dry patch, looks a bit more like irritation, perhaps from clothing or sleeping bag? We once had a rash like that on our baby's neck, apparently it was just due to us not drying and moisturising properly. Woops! He had so many rolls it was hard to get under there 🤣

Honestly, I wouldn't call it a reaction, babys skin is quite sensitive to a lot of things, unless it accompanied by other symptoms or spreads a lot. Maybe keep an eye on it and wait it out a little longer.

sorry I didn't mean for it to come across rude in my message. I wasn't questioning you, I was questioning your doctor.
I hope you get the answers you need 😊

As above if it is only that small area I doubt it as a reaction
Sometimes drs do a 2 4 or 6 week trial it all depends on the Dr and as symptoms cleared I those 4 weeks it seems it was okay for them to switch back
You'd usually expect a reaction a hit sooner than 3 weeks though as far as I'm aware

Honestly that looks more like a spot thats perhaps gathering saliva or milk etc. My lo has cmpa rash and its everywhere
