Ttc successfully

Those of you who were ttc and got their BFP What did you do differently that cycle? Did you BD more/less? Did you take fertility supplements? If so, what? Did you take a break from tracking? Did you track your cycle more?

We were told we would need to go do so the ivf route if we wanted to conceive which we couldn’t afford and wouldn’t of received on nhs so we just forgot about it… we BD twice in my cycle not tracking anything… I was taking myo-inotsol and metformin for pcos symptoms… I think “stopping trying” worked for us ❤️

@Shona ah that’s amazing for you! Congratulations. Was that the first cycle you didn’t track? Were you taking the medication the whole time before? Or just that cycle? x

I had sex twice on the day before my peak and my peak. I took my-inisitol because I wasn’t ovulating. X

I was using those clear blue digital ovulation tests and BD every other day up to peak. Those really helped me take the guess work out of it all and I felt calmer understanding exactly what was happening. It was over Christmas week - so we were on annual leave, not putting too much pressure on anything and definitely more relaxed… I do feel like being more relaxed/less stressed helped for us! Good luck 💕

All of the different things done by chance, not planned exactly: 1. Ate carrots nearly every day as it was a cheap lunch solution (50p a bag, but google the benefits that I had no idea about!) 2. Knew ovulation was late, thought I’d skipped it that month as because I had such a stressful time at work one day I had breakthrough bleeding. This made me upset at the time but then took my mind off watching for ovulation signs/testing for it. 3. Related to previous, I finally accepted it might take another 6months before a bfp - my mmc and D&C was only 5 months previously. I needed to just live life and not get so uptight about getting pregnant again (easier said than done I know). 4. After this acceptance, sex became a bit more spontaneous, done mutually. 5. Randomly took an ovulation test as I had lots of ‘wetness’. Not the typical egg white stuff people report. Strongest line I’d even had (I’m thanking the carrots). Laid with legs in the air, bum propped up after for 20mins.

Once I’d got the peak, had sex on peak night (Friday), Saturday afternoon, then Monday morning. Had previously had sex on the Wednesday of that week. 5. In the two week wait, just to rest my mind, I told myself I’d allow myself to do a cheap Poundland strip test from 8dpo. This calmed my thinking, and it allows me to get used to having a ‘no’ every time, rather than say putting all my hopes on 12dpo. I know this doesn’t work for everyone. Wishing you all the baby dust and wishing away any stress you might be feeling, much love xxx

Just that cycle! Xx
