Anyone had/tried to have a water birth at the manor

So I’ve wanted to have a water birth for years and am planning to give birth at the manor was wondering about people’s experiences with it how supportive staff were with helping you get that I know not all the rooms have pools so I’m worried I won’t get to have one at all any and all experiences would help

I tried to x but u csnt book the tubs in advance and there’s only 1 on the whole ward so its a really slim chance x

however the staff do try their best to get u to a room with a pool/ bathtub at least xx

Have you looked at New Cross instead? They have a midwife led unit in the hospital and every room has a pool. I was meant to have a water birth there but ended up going into labour before I was full term so wasn't able in the end

I had one at city in the serenity suite and would recommend it to anyone it was really relaxed and huge rooms too! I'm sure Manor only have 1 so it's a slim chance incase someone else is using it

New cross for water birth are amazing. I have one there without even asking for it they just gave it me xx

@Ashley I’m 37 weeks is that not too late to make the change? I didn’t even know I could change tbh though I know manor just recently opened a MLU in the hospital not sure what their pool situation is though

I'm not too sure, maybe give New Cross a ring? As far as I'm aware all they need is you to go in for a blood test then you can go on their system. You can't go on the MLU though if you have any risk factors. Or you could ring the Walsall MLU and ask what their situation is
