Shaving

How’s everyone managing to shave etc down there these days? It’s like going in blind. Leaving it isn’t an option as it gets itchy if it’s left too long and i have really sensitive skin so worried about reacting to any hair removal creams. But I also don’t want a patchwork quilt down there 😂

Girl I ain't shaved since 15 weeks I officially had tubaca in a headlock between my legs

Get an electric razor and lay down on the bed with a mirror. Or I have my husband do it 😂

I swear I nearly taken my clit off trying to shave even with a mirror in front

@Haley I feel like electric razors don’t really get a close enough shave though and I absolutely would not trust my partner to do it 😂😂

@Princess 😂 if I didn’t shave I’d be walking round looking like I have crabs because I’d be constantly wanting to scratch from how itchy it gets 😂. But also relatable, it’s a close call isn’t it 😂

It really is a close call and honestly it doesn't itch but then again different textures of hair down there Lol but I will be shaving it before labour just because I don't want them to think it's babies head and it's literally just my bush Lol

If you’re happy with a trim there are plenty of electric razors with safety guards so you don’t nick yourself, including ones specifically designed for body grooming. If you want all the hair gone I’d recommend going for a professional bikini wax if you don’t feel you can shave and don’t want your partner to help. It will last longer, too. Be sure to gently exfoliate to avoid ingrowns. Alternatively, this could be a great opportunity to try out some new hairstyles and find a middle ground perhaps a bit more natural that requires less grooming 🙃 Whatever you choose, wishing you luck and comfort!

@Princess yeah I’ll be having a c section so I think I’d be mortified if they had to shave it for me 😂😂

Lol omg girl true

I’m currently growing everything to have a wax 🥴

@Shannon I last waxed around 10W, the bleeding was more than usual. I'm torn between going to wax now at 25W or using hair removal cream.... undecided really 😕. Let me know how things work out for you

I'm literally going for the patchwork quilt look.. like just shaving and hoping!🥲 I would dread to think what it actually looks like, but when I'm in labour, I really don't think ill care 🤣 as long as I can "semi" keep on top of it 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣

My husband is now a professional waxer as he's been waxing me since before pregnancy 😂

I somehow did it yesterday but it was hard work and took forever! No way I’ll be able to in a couple months. Last pregnancy I got my first ever wax at 36W. Hurt like hell but highly recommend! (Of course there’s nothing wrong with being au natural, but if your preference is like mine to not have hair down there)

@Allie I don’t remember it being this difficult last pregnancy tbh but maybe it was 😂 I don’t think I wanna get a wax tbh. Might just have to keep the patchwork look🤦🏻‍♀️😂

@Princess I love itttt 😂😂😂😂

Yeah I haven’t shaved in months. I can braid it up down there. Bae says he doesn’t care he likes the bush so I’m keeping it. Like Princess said I will shave it before labor. Ima have my mother in the room I don’t need her crackin jokes on my coochie

I was too scared I would cut myself with the electric and the razor. Getting a wax is way easier.

So I ended up using my old school, old faithful men's shaving powder (add water to make into a paste) - Magic Shaving Powder. It did 95% of the job across legs, armpits, and kitty cat. Hubby had to do a few finishing touches with the razor. I feel human again... light, fresh, breezy...

I just look at the mirror in front of me and hope for the best😂😂😂 I’m 25 weeks my bump is big can’t see down there what so ever so mirror usually helps me tbh

@Lindelani I just saw something about magic shaving powder like yesterday and I’ve never heard of it before, how does it work and where do I buy 😂

@Maria I don’t even look in the mirror. Just go in pure blind😂 I’m also 25 weeks and can’t see anything, second baby so bigger this time round. I’m sure I could squash it out the way enough to see with my first

Omg haha awwww, sometimes I hope for the best but get scared hahaha

Yes same here u not alone lol… I like to shave 🪒 im 28 weeks tomorrow and its hard , i think above comment is right will have to use a mirror from now on as i cant see a thing. Bump is getting bigger now lol.. It does get itchy , its worrying as when the time comes to going in to labour u want it all looking good down there .. well i do anyway lol 😆 x

@Charlene thankfully I’m having a c section so I’ll be well prepared unless I go into spontaneous labour and I’m not prepared haha. With my first I just tried to make sure I was constantly fresh shaved towards the end just in case 😂

Magic shaving powder is actually a men's product. It comes in powder form and you mix it with warm water to make a semi-watery paste. I apply it all over my body and give it 10 -15min to work. I then take a shower and yeah, the hair falls away. I find that you have to watch put for sensitive areas (bum crack) and you are prone to a little burn... if you buy the stronger strength product. I ordered it online.

Also watch a few YouTube videos before ordering, just to give yourself some comfort on whether you want to commit to the product or not.

Bless ya all the best hope all goes well for u , iv never had c section with my last 2 , im hoping this one is natural 🤞 xx
