Clumsy? Accident prone?

My son will be 3 at the end of the month and it seems as we get closer and closer he gets clumsier and clumsier. This weekend alone he has about 3 or 4 new bruises. There was even a 5 minute period where he fell 3 times in 3 different ways, running into or landing on random things on the way down. Tonight he was dancing, lost balance and went throat first into the corner of a pet cat house. Now he has a bruise down his throat. Is anyone else's kid this clumsy? Do you think it's something I should talk to his doctor about?
