Scar smell 🤢

So I had a c section nearly 3 weeks ago and since I’ve had the dressing taken off I have notice a smell to the area. I’ve been back to see the midwife who has checked it over and said that it’s not leaking fluid and it’s not infected. I have been cleaning it several times a day with water and cotton wool that was recommended but it doesn’t seem to help. What else can I do to help with the smell? It’s my first c section and I have to say it is getting me down quite a bit 😩

I have an apron belly now after my c sections, so there wasn't as much airflow, and I had a yeast infection a couple weeks after surgery right at my incision site. The doctor told me to fold a piece of dry gauze to put there and to keep it really dry, and that helped me. It felt like a really embarrassing thing at the time, but your body is doing its best to heal so there are gonna be some weird things that happen.

If that doesn't do anything or if the smell gets worse I would definitely go back in to the doctor and push then to figure it out
