Dizziness and Faint

Hey everyone! Lately I’ve been feeling dizzy and the need to faint. I’m on my second trimester, about to be 15 weeks. I called my doctor but they were really no help. Has anyone had this symptom? Can I stop worrying? Thank you 😔🫶🏽

Is this after doing activity like walking up stairs. This used to happen to me just walking so I started taking an iron supplement and it helped tremendously.

Check your iron levels, I have low iron and on supplements and get the same way walking from my bed to the bathroom

If you do get one, get a slow release tablet. Iron pills are so gross and make you want to throw up 🤮

@Jenn honestly it’s whenever I need to stand up or if I get up too fast I have to catch myself because I feel faint and just in a spinning room 😭

@Nikki this is a dumb question but how would I check? The doctors haven’t told me anything from my bloodwork. I was thinking I’m getting migraines.

@Jenn thank you so much, I already hate taking pills and having to taste anything? I’m good 😭🫶🏽

This happened to me throughout my pregnancy to the point where I actually did faint and threw up when I woke up! I immediately went to the ER and it was because of where my son was positioned. He was sitting very low and was basically sitting on a nerve or vessel that caused me to pass out. We both were completely fine and I essentially just had to push my tummy and move him when I started to feel light headed. I hope you start feeling better mama! 🫶🏼

@Danielle hey girl! This happened to me too, from laying down I would have to sit up first then wait a minute then get up, otherwise it was almost guaranteed I’d feel dizzy and get blurry vision. Stay hydrated, snack often, and get up SLOWLY. Also rolling on your side instead of sitting directly up also helped me.

@Danielle demand bloodwork..: you have to be your own advocate when it comes to the medical Industry here.. they won’t do it for you

This happened to me. I increased my protein, salt, and water intake and on top of my advanced prenatals I took a VitronC tablet it's iron mixed with vitamin c so it absorbs better. For me it was due to my arteries and veins expanding and my body not making more blood fast enough to fill them. Highly suggest taking your blood pressure as well. If it gets below 95/50 call the doctors or have someone take you immediately
