Okay girls I need an answer as I’m struggling big time. I’m going to my friend’s wedding next month and I need a dress. Unfortunately I’ve never been on a wedding and I have no idea what dress would be acceptable! I don’t want to overdress but at the same time I don’t want to underdress. I don’t even know where to start, I can’t wear tight dresses and would like to hide some of mommy’s tummy as well so the best option here would be tulle with corset. I got this dress from shein but I feel like it would be too much? Please help 😭

Maybe ask more about the dress code (if there is one) and go from there. Also this dress is stunning

@Tasha there’s not much to the dress code, only some colours not allowed and that’s all x yeah the dress is amazing I was thinking that if not for that wedding I’m gonna wear it for my own 😂

ASOS do a wedding section! And great maternity dresses if you’ve got a bump/beach ball 🥰

@Stephanie your dress is beautiful x wish I could but with my reversed curves I wouldn’t feel good in it. That is actually something I was looking into at the start, but tried one and got a meltdown when I’ve seen myself in the mirror

I’m curvy especially just after having my baby and do not have a lot of confidence at all when it comes to dresses but it’s so flattering on this dress but also wearing underwear that sucks you in 🤣. They’re is so many nice sites for dresses that aren’t clingy xx

@Stephanie I’m looking now but would probably end up going to the shop and trying some on, without make up obviously so I don’t walk out of there looking like a panda after all the tears I’ll shed 😂

I can totally sympathise big time I hate going shopping and feeling like that, quiz have some nice dresses in just now x

Sometimes the venue of a wedding can give clues about how formal/fancy it will be. One of my pals is getting married in a village hall next month which will be super informal. Have also been to hotel weddings which have been a bit dressier. Once you are on the dancefloor having a ball this will all be a distant memory 🥳
