Issues with food

So my little girl will eat almost any finger foods. Me and my partner work different shifts don't really eat dinner and our tea is after 10pm. For quickness and maken sure my girl is having enough food I give her jars ( baby food ) she won't entertain anything that's above 6 months she gags on anything else and just spits it out. Is anybody else having the same issues. Like I say she will eat finger foods without gagging but most of it ends up on the floor hence why giving jars between me n partners working shifts. Also I may add she don't juat have a jar there's puddings and snacks

I think it’s normal for a lot of it to end up on the floor, my LO does the same sometimes and I know around this age there is a lot of throwing food as they realise cause and effect, I would just keep trying with the finger food
