First time mom, and I’m seeing others post about sleep windows and such. My one month old sleeps only 2-3 hours at a time including nights. Is that also normal? I’ve been seeing others get longer stretches. Also, how are you getting longer stretches because I’m not sleeping at all.

You are not alone! My LO is 4 weeks and sleeps from maybe 9 pm until midnight then after that she doesn’t sleep long stretches what so ever. I bought the Halo sleep sack so hopefully that will help tonight because I am exhausted!!

My baby is 6 weeks old and will ha e one stretch from like 8pm to 2am where he sleeps. After that we don't sleep longer stretches. Last night he was up at 12am, 3am, 3:30am, 4:30, 6, and the 7. It was a long night for me. I think it just depends on the baby. My daughter slept through the night at a week old and this kid will not sleep at night for anything
we got a Halo sleep sack from the hospital but I figured she was still too young? I’m willing to try anything!

Same here because I am worn out! Lately my LO in the morning is NOT napping and hates being put down. My house is a mess 🥴😩🤣🤷🏽♀️

Don’t know if it will help but, try white noise. Feeding them during the day more, so when it comes to night they will not need much feeds. Try having a routine at night. Bath them before sleep. World wonders. It honestly depends why they wake up. But it’s normal for children to wake up. Swaddling helps too !

My girl is 5 weeks and I’m in the same boat! She will also sleep longer during the daytime of course🙃 but no more than 3 hours max. Nights are usually only 1-2 hour stretches 😭 I do think it’s normal though. I saw someone on Facebook comment on a video of someone saying how their baby sleeps through the entire night and the comment said “this is great but don’t expect your babies to be adults”. It validated me a little bit 😭
thank you! That makes me feel a lot better! I was starting to think I was doing something wrong

Same here!!! I felt like i “wasn’t doing enough” 😔 all the info out there about sleep training, wake windows etc feels so overwhelming…I am just trying to stick to the basics right now! Especially as a first time mom who still feels lost 🤪

Try to not let you baby nap more than 2 hours during the day and try to get them into a routine so they know when nighttime is. That should help them be tired out by bed time and support those longer sleeping stretches at night.
thank you!! 😊

thanks for sharing this! I have an almost two year old that co sleeps with us still and not trying to repeat with my 3 week old. out of curiosity does this matter if your baby is exclusively breastfed or bottle fed ?

I am not sure if you tried the Halo Sleep Sack on your LO yet but we tried it on ours for the first time last night and she woke up twice. Once at midnight and then around 3 am and both times went back to sleep.
