So the weirdest thing happened last night around 3:30 in the morning. My baby woke up (not the weird part) and after I had gone in and settled her and put her down in her crib, I cane back in the bedroom and noticed the screen on the monitor was moving. It was not fully on her and then all of a sudden positioned on her perfectly. My husband said it's probably just human detection function, but when I look at the settings I can't find anything for human detection. When I Google if the function exists for this camera it says it does and is can be turned on or off, I've never turned it on because I can't find it. The only functions I can find are motion detection and that is also off.
Does anyone have this camera and has this happened? My baby has started rolling in the crib so I have often looked at the monitor and she's completely our of view so I have to adjust it to find her in the crib, the camera has never adjusted to her position before so it's kind of creeping me out that this happened now and at 3:30 in the morning...

It could be anything, but this is why I never use video monitors cause sorry I’m going to scare you but it does happen… creeps hack into em and watch them. If you can’t figure it out and you can afford to do so I would be looking for a different monitor.
Again sorry if I freak you out, but I’m being honest.

Unfortunately it is true that there are stories of baby monitors being hacked. My understanding is that it’s more likely if your monitor connects to wifi (vs the non wifi monitors that transmit radio signals and can only reach a relatively short distance). I read about it the two options in depth when choosing our monitor and what I found was even with wifi monitors - as long as your own wifi connection is secure the chances of being hacked are extremely low. My instinct is that you should call the customer service of ieGeek and ask if they have any information/knowledge of why that might happen.

if the person can hack into your IP address then you aren’t safe and people can do that. Personally I would have stayed away from the video ones but to each their own :)!

If you monitor has wifi abilities, Yes, unfortunately it can be hacked and it happened to a friend of mine. This is a big part of the reason I chose a video monitor that doesn't have wifi, and just decided I wouldn't need to check while away from home. You can try to change the password for your network/router and that might boot whoever it is out.

Well
